Why you have such a ridiculous name:

Most people think we’re called “The Undefined” because we don’t want to be labelled under a particular genre. But even though we’re not quite sure what “genre” our music fits into (being a mixture of indie, punk and rock), this is not where the name came from. The original name for the band was 'Undefined Mind' but this was later changed to “The Undefined” as it sounds better!

When & how you formed:

We formed in late 2002 when we all climbed a large hill, from different directions, and randomly met at the top. We thought it was destiny, so formed The Undefined.

Where can we usually find you if we want our money back or something?

The kinda sounds you play:

We’ve been described as a cross between early 'Captain', 'Idlewild' and 'Bleach Nirvana'; PJ Harvey’s punky cousin and post-grunge rock. Have a listen and then take your pick.

Randy Fitzsimmonds, Kurt Cobain and Bob Fairfoul.

Your thoughts on world politics:

George Bush is a fucking idiot. Enough said.

1. Everyone (and I mean everyone) who listens to us live, or to our CDs, loves it.

2. Our music is original and isn’t a rip off of the 80s, like a lot of bands at the moment. Each song is different from the next.
