Bestival Press Release

8 - 10 September 2006
Robin Hill Country Park, Newport, Isle of Wight

Rob da Bank, curator of the award winning Bestival, has announced the Sunday night headliner as The Scissor Sisters in their only confirmed UK date this summer. A host of marvellous other acts including the Mystery Jets, Hot Chip and John Martyn have also been added to the bill.

Alongside the legendary Pet Shop Boys, who headline Saturday night, the Scissor Sisters will be the grand finale on the main stage of what will be one of the greatest ends to the festival season. Rob da Bank has been beavering away to ensure this year’s Bestival is the best ever – with even more great bands, top DJs, strange happenings, exclusive arenas and boutique festival fun to keep you buzzing all weekend.

Here’s some of the new acts he’s confirmed for the Bestival bill:

Scissor Sisters
The Scissor Sisters shot to fame over an incredibly short period of time. They performed not one but two amazing sets at Glastonbury 2004 have been crowned with numerous awards the world over.
